Misk City, formally known as Mohammed bin Salman Nonprofit City, has signed a memorandum of understanding with Samsung Electronics to collaborate on smart city technologies, sustainability initiatives, and youth empowerment.

The agreement was formalized by Misk City CEO David Henry and Hendrick Lee, President of Samsung Electronics Saudi Arabia, during the Misk Global Forum in Riyadh, which concludes on Tuesday.

“This partnership is a pivotal step in realising Misk City’s vision of fostering an ecosystem that nurtures innovation and creativity among Saudi youth,” Henry stated, as reported by the Saudi Press Agency. He emphasized the significance of working with Samsung to establish a dynamic and forward-thinking environment that serves as a benchmark for smart city development.

Echoing these sentiments, Lee remarked, “Our collaboration with Misk City underscores a shared dedication to driving innovation and sustainability. Together, we aim to develop transformative solutions that elevate urban living while empowering future generations in technology to benefit our communities.”

As part of the agreement, both entities will work on tailored training programs designed to enhance the skills of Saudi youth, equipping them to contribute to advanced smart city experiences. These initiatives will be hosted in Misk City, according to the SPA.

Additionally, Samsung Electronics is considering establishing a showroom within Misk City to showcase its cutting-edge AI-driven smart technologies. This space would offer visitors an immersive look into the possibilities of smart homes and the potential of future innovations.
