The UAE government’s Artificial Intelligence, Digital Economy, and Remote Work Applications Office has announced a strategic partnership with UiPath, a global leader in enterprise automation and AI. This collaboration aims to drive the adoption of Agentic Automation, an innovative AI-powered approach to automation, across government entities.

The agreement, formalized through a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), aligns with the UAE National Strategy for AI and its ambition to become a global AI leader by 2031. The MoU was signed by Omar Sultan Al Olama, Minister of State for Artificial Intelligence, Digital Economy, and Remote Work Applications, and UiPath’s CEO and Founder, Daniel Dines.

Dr. Abdulrahman Al Mahmoud, Director at the AI, Digital Economy, and Remote Work Applications Office, highlighted the government’s dedication to building partnerships with tech innovators and private enterprises. He emphasized that AI-driven automation will play a pivotal role in enhancing government services, boosting workforce readiness, and supporting the UAE’s AI strategy objectives.

Zakaria Haltout, UiPath’s Area Vice President for the Middle East and Africa, noted, “The UAE is at the forefront of leveraging AI’s transformative potential. We’re thrilled to support its journey by integrating AI-powered automation into operations and equipping government employees and graduates with critical AI skills. This collaboration will create new economic, educational, and social opportunities, strengthening the UAE’s vision of AI leadership.”

The partnership includes developing an AI and automation training programme for up to 100 government employees or students. Participants will gain UiPath-certified credentials and learn to use the UiPath Business Automation Platform through the UiPath Academy. The initiative also supports the Coders HQ programme, part of the National Programme for Coders, to upskill participants in critical automation skills.

Additionally, the collaboration will establish pilot projects and workshops to explore UiPath’s platform and raise awareness of AI-powered automation’s benefits. Both parties will also create a roadmap for enabling government-backed companies and startups to harness automation technologies, enhancing efficiency and improving public services.
