LEAP Inaugural Tech Arena Showcases Live TV Innovations

LEAP 2025, Saudi Arabia’s global technology event, will bring together entrepreneurs and startups from around the world to showcase groundbreaking innovations to more than 170,000 visitors. The event, running from February 9-12 at the Riyadh Exhibition and Convention Centre in Malham, will feature the inaugural Tech Arena, an interactive platform designed to highlight emerging technologies.

Themed ‘The Future of Tech,’ the fourth edition of LEAP will explore robotics, artificial intelligence, healthcare technologies, and mixed reality. Attendees will experience live demonstrations and hands-on showcases from major enterprises including Aramco, L’Oréal, Adobe, Ericsson, Alwaleed Philanthropies, XAR Labs, Devoteam, and Engine VR.

Spotlight on Robotics, AI, and Mixed Reality

The Tech Arena will feature live sessions hosted by BBC Click presenters Lara Lewington and Spencer Kelly. Cutting-edge developments such as AI-driven applications, fashion technology, and brain-computer interfaces will be among the highlights.

Anouk Wipprecht’s Tech Couture exhibit will merge fashion and engineering with robotic dresses that react to movement. Adobe’s ‘Project Primrose’ digital dress will also be on display, showcasing textiles that can change in real-time, offering a glimpse into the future of wearable technology.

AI-Driven Healthcare Solutions

Medical technology innovations will also take centre stage. Aramco-backed Terra Drone will demonstrate its long-range medical delivery system, which can transport essential supplies to remote areas. Aramco’s AI assistant, SARA (Saudi Aramco Robotics Assistant), will also be showcased, offering AI-powered decision-making tools for intuitive and personalised interactions.

US-based Engine VR will present its Golden Gloves VR platform, an immersive boxing experience designed for fitness enthusiasts and professional athletes. UFC fighter Andrew Sanchez will offer live demonstrations, and attendees will have the opportunity to test the system firsthand.

Global Innovators Join the Tech Arena

Saudi NGO Alwaleed Philanthropies will present Atlai, an AI reporting tool designed to combat deforestation by monitoring and analysing global forest loss. XPANCEO will introduce its smart contact lenses, which integrate computing power into a wearable device.

“At XPANCEO, we are looking forward to showcasing our revolutionary smart contact lenses at LEAP 2025’s inaugural Tech Arena,” said Dr Valentyn Volkov, co-founder of XPANCEO. “Our innovative wearable technology promises to advance the seamless integration of human senses and data.”

Annabelle Mander, Executive Vice President of Tahaluf, the event co-organiser, highlighted the platform’s significance.

“The Tech Arena is a unique opportunity to experience tomorrow’s world today,” she said. “This space will provide unparalleled exposure for innovators, supporting Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 goal of becoming a global tech hub.”
