e&, a global technology group, has joined forces with IBM to implement an advanced end-to-end governance framework for Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Generative AI. The initiative was unveiled at the World Economic Forum 2025 in Davos.

This collaboration is designed to strengthen e&’s AI governance framework, ensuring compliance, transparency, and ethical standards are upheld across its expanding AI operations. By leveraging IBM’s watsonx.governance platform and IBM Consulting’s expertise, the partnership will enable e& to scale AI responsibly, manage risks, and enhance oversight of its AI systems.

The solution addresses critical challenges, including regulatory compliance, ethical concerns, and performance monitoring across e&’s AI models. It introduces automated tools for real-time risk management, bias detection, and compliance tracking, supporting accountability throughout the AI lifecycle—from development to decommissioning.

“As AI reshapes industries, robust governance is essential,” said Dena Almansoori, Group Chief AI and Data Officer at e&. “This partnership with IBM reflects our commitment to setting global benchmarks for responsible AI use. By adopting watsonx.governance, we ensure transparency and ethical practices across our AI ecosystem, reinforcing trust in its outcomes.”

IBM watsonx.governance will provide e& with dynamic monitoring capabilities, allowing real-time analysis of model performance, risk scoring, and compliance metrics. This will help e& detect potential issues, such as bias or model drift, and implement corrective actions promptly.

The solution also establishes a centralised inventory of AI models, enabling full traceability and oversight. IBM Consulting will collaborate with e& to tailor the governance framework, incorporating workflows, KPIs, and onboarding existing models to streamline operations.

“IBM watsonx equips organisations like e& to navigate the complexities of AI governance effectively,” said Shukri Eid, General Manager, Gulf, Levant & Pakistan at IBM. “This milestone builds on our longstanding partnership with e& and sets a precedent for responsible AI innovation.”

Through this collaboration, e& is positioning itself at the forefront of AI governance, ensuring its AI systems deliver measurable value while mitigating risks and promoting ethical practices across its operations.
