Artificial intelligence is reshaping the UAE’s job market, cementing the nation’s status as a global hub for skilled professionals. With advancements in AI technologies and a focus on digital transformation, the UAE is creating unprecedented opportunities across sectors, from technology and healthcare to marketing and beyond.
Rabea Ataya, CEO of Bayt.com, emphasised that AI will play a pivotal role in 2025, automating repetitive tasks and enabling professionals to prioritise innovation, problem-solving, and strategic thinking. He highlighted increased demand for roles such as software engineers, data scientists, and healthcare practitioners, driven by AI’s integration across industries.
The UAE’s economic strength underpins this growth. Institutions such as the International Monetary Fund predict a 5.1% growth rate in 2025, with similar forecasts from the World Bank and the UAE Central Bank. Asem Galal, Managing Partner at G&K Management Consulting, noted that this economic expansion will significantly boost AI-related employment, including roles in machine learning, AI programming, and process automation.
Reports further showcase the UAE’s appeal as a talent hub. A 2024 Deel analysis ranked it as the top global destination for workers seeking visas. Additionally, CEOWORLD Magazine placed it fifth globally for digital nomads, and InterNations ranked it fourth as the best country for expatriates.
Ahmed Gamal, Business Development Manager for Nvidia AI Solutions, highlighted the UAE’s strides in AI and technology, including sovereign AI initiatives and cutting-edge data centres. These advancements, he noted, are creating high-level opportunities for programmers and AI specialists, cementing the country’s position as a global leader in technological innovation.
