Tech Revolt Webinar CTRL+ALT+REVOLT Explores Future of Retail Tech
  • PublishedJuly 14, 2025

Tech Revolt officially launched its brand-new webinar series, CTRL+ALT+REVOLT, with an engaging debut episode exploring the latest trends and innovations transforming retail technology, e-Commerce and supply chain operations. Delivered in partnership with Bellman Media, 24Six9 and Actual VC, the series aims to spotlight technology’s role in reshaping industries for the better.

The premiere session focused on the rapidly evolving world of retail and supply chains, featuring expert insights from Kacem Nasri, Founder of TradeSocial, and Robin Vermaat, Managing Director of RV Consultancy. The discussion addressed the operational, logistical and consumer-driven challenges facing retailers today and the strategies required to navigate them successfully.

Kacem Nasri underscored the importance of agility in modern supply chains, stating:
“Today’s consumer behaviour has moved beyond traditional demand planning. Brands must now react in real time to social cues, market trends and customer sentiment. If you don’t capitalise on demand shifts driven by digital interactions, you risk losing not just sales but market relevance. That means rethinking procurement, logistics, and partnerships at every level — and technology is the enabler of that agility.”

Robin Vermaat addressed the fine balance businesses must strike between automation and operational flexibility, noting: “It’s tempting to pursue automation for efficiency’s sake, but retailers need to be strategic. The real advantage lies in scalable, modular systems and choosing the right technology partners. Equally vital is upskilling teams and ensuring technology empowers rather than replaces people. The retailers that strike this balance will be those leading the market in resilience and responsiveness.”

Moderating the session was Kasun Illankoon, Editor-in-Chief at Tech Revolt, who commented on the success of the debut event: “This conversation confirmed what many of us have been sensing, retail supply chains are no longer linear processes. They are dynamic, consumer-influenced ecosystems that demand real-time responsiveness. CTRL+ALT+REVOLT is about highlighting these shifts and connecting the voices driving them. We’re proud to have opened the series with such valuable perspectives.”

The CTRL+ALT+REVOLT series will continue with upcoming episodes focused on AI’s role in enterprise, sustainable logistics and digital financial ecosystems.
