  • PublishedMay 20, 2025

Swisslog, the global leader in innovative robotic, data-driven, and flexible automated solutions, will showcase its next-generation warehouse automation technologies at the Saudi Warehousing & Logistics Expo. The event takes place from 27–29 May in Riyadh and acts as a vital platform for industry leaders driving innovation across logistics and supply chain sectors in line with Vision 2030.

Showcasing Next-Generation Automation

At the event, Swisslog will spotlight its AutoStore multi-temperature solution. This compact, scalable automated storage and retrieval system combines high-density storage with the flexibility to meet complex operational demands. Its modular design enables seamless integration into existing infrastructures while reducing disruption and supporting future expansion.

A key advantage of the system is its ability to store frozen, chilled, and ambient goods within a single grid. This integration streamlines operations, lowers facility costs, improves energy efficiency, and simplifies cold chain logistics management.

Supporting Saudi Arabia’s Logistics Growth

Rami Younes, General Manager at Swisslog Middle East, commented:
“Saudi Arabia is witnessing a logistics revolution shaped by digital transformation and a rapidly growing e-commerce market. At Swisslog, we’re proud to support the Kingdom’s ambition to elevate its logistics sector to US$15.31 billion by 2030, with tailored automation solutions addressing key regional challenges. The Saudi Warehousing & Logistics Expo is the ideal platform to demonstrate how our technologies, like the AutoStore multi-temperature solution, can futureproof fulfilment strategies across industries.”

Enhancing Cold Chain Efficiency

The AutoStore multi-temperature solution features a smart grid design that allows air circulation between zones. This maintains different temperatures ranging from -25°C to +6°C within one automated system. As a result, businesses can eliminate the need for multiple cold storage facilities, lower energy costs by using eco-friendly refrigerants, and improve operator efficiency through a goods-to-person picking model.

Expanding Regional Presence

Earlier this year, Swisslog reported strong growth in the Middle East. The company surpassed US$60 million in project value across food and beverage, grocery, fashion retail, and spare parts logistics sectors. It is also expanding its presence in Saudi Arabia, with seven implemented or sold sites and a growing team of resident engineers supporting current and future clients.

Delivering Automation for Vision 2030

Swisslog’s client portfolio features global and regional leaders such as AlMarai, Raha, RoboStores, Unilever, Pepsi, and others. Recently, Chalhoub Group partnered with Swisslog to launch ‘Tawreed’. This state-of-the-art automated distribution hub in Saudi Arabia is designed for the luxury fashion and beauty sector. Powered by Swisslog’s AutoStore solution, the hub will streamline supply chain operations, reduce costs, and offer scalable, high-efficiency storage that supports future expansion.

As the MEA logistics sector generated US$83.1 billion in revenue in 2024, the region continues to prioritise innovation and infrastructure investment. Swisslog is committed to helping businesses harness this growth by delivering automation that is reliable, scalable, and aligned with Saudi Vision 2030.
