In5, a business incubator dedicated to supporting and empowering start-ups and entrepreneurs, will participate as a strategic partner at the Dubai AI Festival, taking place on 23 and 24 April 2025 at Madinat Jumeirah, highlighting its pivotal role in building AI-related capabilities.
TECOM Group established in5 in 2013 as a leading platform for innovators to contribute to global growth and accelerate entrepreneurship, with a focus on four specialised sectors: technology, media, design and science. In5 will offer exceptional opportunities to connect with key industry figures on the sidelines of the Dubai AI Festival, in line with its goal of enabling innovators to harness the potential of AI and capitalise on the growth opportunities it presents.
Speaking on behalf of in5, Majid Al Suwaidi, Senior Vice President of TECOM Group, stated that a thriving technology ecosystem is key to accelerating economic growth. He said: “Our strategic partnership with the Dubai Festival for Artificial Intelligence aims to strengthen Dubai’s position and reinforce its leading role in the global digital economy. We look forward to continuing to support and empower the next generation of experts, innovators and technologists in the field of artificial intelligence, in line with the objectives of the Dubai Economic Agenda D33 and the National Digital Economy Strategy.”
At DAI, in5 will showcase some of the region’s most prominent innovators and entrepreneurs who have achieved outstanding success through its support, including KinesteX, an AI-based fitness training app, and Viewit, a proptech start-up specialising in video promotions.
Supporting the success of start-ups
As part of its ongoing commitment to supporting start-ups and ensuring their sustainable success, in5 will host a five-day intensive training programme aimed at enhancing entrepreneurs’ knowledge of the practical applications of AI technologies. The programme, titled ‘AI Team Setup in Just 5 Days’, running from 21 to 25 April 2025, will enable entrepreneurs to scale their businesses by integrating AI solutions for tasks such as automated team workflows and data dashboards for smarter decision-making. In5 can be contacted via its official Instagram page (@in5Dubai) for further details about this free course, delivered by Jane Blandus, founder of the Female Fusion network in Dubai.
Ahead of this intensive course, in5 hosted an academic hackathon at in5 Technology in Dubai Internet City, in collaboration with the ABCurr Institute for Entrepreneurship and Pupilar, with participation from university students across the UAE. The initiative sought to create real-world, AI-based solutions for three key economic sectors: mobility, proptech, and healthcare and life sciences. Winners of the hackathon will take part in a competition held on the sidelines of the Dubai Festival for Artificial Intelligence, where in5 will award five cash prizes on the final day of the event.
Since its inception in 2013, in5 has supported over 1,000 start-ups and enabled them to secure a collective AED 7.8 billion in funding. In5 plays a crucial role in facilitating partnerships and providing essential support, guidance and mentorship services within an innovative environment that allows entrepreneurs and talent from around the world to take full advantage of the limitless opportunities Dubai offers to grow and expand their businesses in the region.
