Additionally, 93% of organisations reported experiencing two or more identity-related breaches in the past 12 months.

How is the firm leveraging advanced technologies to combat emerging threats such as AI-powered cyberattacks or sophisticated bugs?

CyberArk’s CORA AI, launched in 2024, harnesses AI to detect identity threats and provide real-time risk mitigation. CORA AI is embedded across CyberArk’s identity security platform, assisting in securing privileged access across hybrid and cloud environments. By analysing billions of data points, it enables organisations to act swiftly against emerging cyber threats.

According to Richard, “Threat actors are leveraging AI to scale their attacks. CORA AI was built to counteract this, giving security teams the visibility and intelligence they need to detect and respond to identity threats in real time.”

By integrating automation and machine learning, CORA AI allows security teams to strengthen access controls, reduce vulnerabilities, and make data-driven security decisions.

 

In what ways can cybersecurity effectively tackle challenges related to AI misuse or malicious activities online?

As AI accelerates the complexity of cyber threats, organisations must take a proactive approach to identity security. CyberArk’s research indicates that while security tools have advanced, employee behaviour remains a critical risk factor. A survey of 14,003 office workers found that workforce habits are contributing to a worsening threat environment, with employees often disregarding security best practices.

CyberArk emphasises that a strong security culture is just as important as robust security technology. Businesses must educate employees on AI-driven threats, implement stricter identity controls, and secure access points across their IT environments.
