Group AMANA, a regional leader in design-build construction, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Al Moammar Information Systems (MIS) at LEAP 2025, aiming to accelerate the development of high-performance, sustainable data centres in Saudi Arabia. The collaboration aligns with the Kingdom’s Vision 2030 goals to strengthen its position as a global digital hub.

As Saudi Arabia undergoes rapid digital transformation, driven by artificial intelligence, cloud computing, and enterprise digitalisation, demand for scalable and energy-efficient data centres continues to rise. The partnership brings together AMANA’s expertise in complex construction projects and MIS’s capabilities in IT solutions to support the country’s growing technological landscape.

Richard Abboud, CEO of Group AMANA, noted the increasing need for robust digital infrastructure. “Saudi Arabia’s digital economy is expanding at an unprecedented pace, requiring advanced data centres to meet evolving demands. AMANA has a strong track record in industrial and mission-critical projects, and by working with MIS, we aim to deliver scalable and energy-efficient solutions that align with Vision 2030’s sustainability objectives,” he said.

Abdullah Al Ghamdi, CEO of MIS, highlighted the importance of reliable infrastructure for emerging technologies. “High-performance data centres are essential for AI, cloud computing, and digital transformation. Businesses and government entities need infrastructure that is secure, scalable, and future-ready. This partnership enables us to integrate advanced IT solutions with precision-engineered construction to enhance Saudi Arabia’s digital capabilities,” he stated.

Through its subsidiaries, AMANA will oversee the development of data centre infrastructure that meets the Kingdom’s environmental, social, and governance (ESG) standards and efficiency requirements.

With the Middle East’s data centre market experiencing significant growth, AMANA and MIS are positioning themselves to meet increasing demand for AI-ready infrastructure. The agreement marks a step forward in enhancing Saudi Arabia’s digital capabilities, ensuring enterprises, hyperscalers, and public sector organisations have the necessary resources to support a data-driven economy.
