Cyber Warriors Power List

Positive Technologies

Ilya Leonov, Regional Director MENA Region

What innovative cybersecurity solutions does your organisation offer, and how do they address the region’s unique challenges?

As cybersecurity threats grow in scale and complexity, Positive Technologies is driving innovation through advanced solutions tailored to address the challenges of the digital world. Our commitment to safeguarding critical infrastructure is reflected in our integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI) into cybersecurity operations.

How is your firm leveraging advanced technologies to combat emerging threats like AI-powered cyberattacks or sophisticated bugs?

As cyber threats become more sophisticated, AI has become essential. Our recently introduced Cybersecurity Autopilot improves threat detection and response by automating attack kill chain analysis. This enables security teams to reduce the Mean Time to Response (MTTR) to levels shorter than the Mean Time to Attack (MTTA). By automating repetitive tasks, the Autopilot alleviates pressure on cybersecurity professionals, allowing them to focus on strategic initiatives.

In your opinion, how can cybersecurity effectively tackle challenges related to AI misuse, or malicious activities online?

Threat actors increasingly leverage AI to identify vulnerabilities and execute targeted attacks, heightening the need for equally advanced defense mechanisms. Positive Technologies counters these threats with expert-driven, AI-enhanced solutions that improve detection accuracy and response times.

Can you share a recent case study or success story demonstrating the impact of your solutions?

Our Result-Driven Cybersecurity approach has been successfully implemented across multiple state-level critical infrastructure projects. This strategy integrates cutting-edge techniques and technologies to make non-tolerable events nearly impossible to execute. The key idea of Result-Driven Cybersecurity is to focus on what is truly critical to an organization’s operations.

What current industry trends are driving cybersecurity strategies, and how are you preparing for the future?

Another pressing industry challenge is the advent of quantum computing, which threatens encryption and data protection. Positive Technologies is proactively developing strategies to secure critical assets in anticipation of this shift.

How do you see the role of cybersecurity evolving in a hyperconnected digital world?

As digital transformation accelerates, cybersecurity must evolve in parallel. It is not just a protective measure but a fundamental driver of progress. Investment in cybersecurity should align with an organization’s strategy and remain effective in a rapidly changing digital world.

In a landscape where AI is both an asset and a threat, Positive Technologies remains committed to delivering cutting-edge solutions that protect what truly matters, ensuring a secure and resilient digital future.
