Amparo Prosthetics is set to showcase its cutting-edge direct-fit technology for below-knee prosthetic sockets at Arab Health 2025, one of the world’s premier healthcare exhibitions. The Amparo System, which streamlines the prosthetic fitting process, promises to transform patient care with its innovative approach.

The live demonstration will take place at the ABHI Surgical Simulation Theatre led by prosthetic experts Alex Dahinten and Priscila Vyghen, the session will highlight how the Amparo System enables healthcare professionals to restore patient mobility in just 1.5 hours, cutting traditional fitting times by more than 90%. The system’s direct-fit technology eliminates the complexities of conventional methods and allows sockets to be remoulded up to five times, ensuring adaptability to a patient’s evolving needs.

Amparo will also debut its new paediatric prosthetic socket at the event. Designed for young users with liner sizes between 12 and 24, the socket addresses the growing demand for advanced paediatric solutions, particularly for children affected by conflicts such as those in Gaza. This development underscores Amparo’s commitment to its Restoring Hope initiative, which focuses on improving prosthetic care for underserved communities worldwide.

Attendees will gain an in-depth understanding of the Amparo System during the live demo, which will feature a step-by-step guide led by a certified prosthetist orthotist (CPO). From limb preparation to final socket fitting, the demonstration will reveal how this technology offers faster, more efficient, and more comfortable solutions for amputees.

Alex Dahinten, O&P clinician at Amparo, remarked: “Our mission is to simplify and improve the prosthetic fitting process. The Amparo System is designed to make fittings faster, more comfortable, and more accessible to a wider patient base. We are excited to demonstrate this breakthrough technology and show how it is helping to change the lives of amputees worldwide.”

Priscila Vyghen, Sales Manager at Amparo, added: “Arab Health provides a unique platform to introduce our innovations to the Middle East, a region where the need for efficient, high-quality prosthetic solutions is rapidly growing. We’re eager to build lasting relationships with healthcare providers, NGOs, and other stakeholders to broaden our impact. Our work with initiatives like Restoring Hope exemplifies our commitment to improving amputee care globally.”
