Ooredoo has named Sheikh Nasser Bin Hamad Al Thani as the new Chairman of the Board of Directors for its Kuwait operations. The appointment underscores the group’s focus on strengthening strategic leadership to drive sustainable growth across its markets.

Sheikh Nasser brings over two decades of experience in telecommunications, during which he has been pivotal in achieving key milestones and advancing organisational performance both locally and internationally. Currently serving as Regional Chief Executive Officer of Ooredoo Group for the Middle East, he is credited with spearheading initiatives that solidified the company’s industry standing.

Previously, Sheikh Nasser held notable roles, including Chief Corporate Affairs Officer of Ooredoo Group, where he enhanced government and stakeholder relationships, and Chief Commercial Officer of Ooredoo Qatar, driving record-breaking revenues through innovative strategies. He also played a key role in Ooredoo’s operations during the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar.
