South Korean hospitality technology company Onda is gearing up to expand its footprint in the Middle East through a joint venture with UAE-based Seed Group. Leveraging Seed Group’s regional expertise, Onda plans to accelerate its entry into the market, with a focus on completing the localisation of its software-as-a-service (SaaS) technology by mid-2025.

Onda has already made strides in establishing a regional presence, adopting a diversified marketing approach and showcasing its advanced solutions at high-profile events like Gitex 2024 and Expand North Star. These platforms allowed Onda to engage with major hotel chains and outline tailored digital transformation strategies for the local market.

In South Korea, Onda dominates the hospitality technology sector, enabling the distribution of 60-70% of domestic online booking products. It has also forged key partnerships with global giants like Airbnb, Trip.com, and Booking.com, earning accolades such as being named a 2024 Booking.com Advanced Connectivity Partner.

Onda’s global recognition includes ranking 34th on Skift’s Global PMS Vendor list—the first Korean company to achieve this milestone. Its flagship solutions, including Onda Hub, Central Reservation System (CRS), and Property Management System (PMS), are pivotal to its strategy in the Middle East.

Kevin Oh, CEO of Onda, commented on the expansion: “By leveraging local networks and strategic partnerships, this marks a significant milestone in our journey to penetrate the Middle Eastern market. It’s the start of an exciting new chapter for Onda.”
